INDICATORS: Fatty cattle register sixth consecutive drop in price and are quoted at R$ 260.30

The price of arroba of fat cattle started on Thursday (25) with a 1.74% drop in price and the product is traded at R$ 260.30 in the state of São Paulo. The drop in price follows the trend observed throughout the month of May and is the sixth consecutive daily drop.

The moving average, that is, the last five aggregate indicators of the live cattle at arroba also dropped, which signals a possible decrease in the value for the coming weeks, according to the trend shown. The average of the last five days of the fat ox arroba is R$ 262.72.

In the financial market, the fat ox arroba is priced at R$257.30, down 1.74% compared to the previous day. The average price of live cattle traded in installments on the São Paulo market is R$ 260.30 and also fell by 1.75%.

The price of a kilo of frozen chicken had a significant drop of 3.06% and is sold at R$ 6.33. The price of a kilo of chilled chicken also dropped significantly, by 1.68% and the product is sold at R$ 6.44 in Greater São Paulo, São José do Rio Preto and Descalvado.

The price of the special pork carcass remains stable and the product is sold at R$ 9.60, wholesale in Greater São Paulo. With regard to live hogs, there was a drop in value in Paraná and Santa Catarina, where it is traded at R$ 6.01 and R$ 5.80, respectively. In Minas Gerais and São Paulo, the price remained stable and the live hog is sold at R$ 6.46.
