PARÁ: Public notices of Qualifica Saúde are already being prepared for publication

Public notices for the State Program to Incentive the Qualification of Health Professionals (Qualifica Saúde) this year are already being organized for publication. The project, which has been in progress since 2021, aims to provide residents of various public health institutions with grants for a period of one year, and to select preceptors, who will also receive grants for the development of activities.

Rebecca Paranaguá, a lawyer specialized in Health Law and partner at the Bento Muniz Advocacia office, believes that this financial incentive for the health professionals covered helps in the qualification of the workers, as it allows them to dedicate themselves to the program, generating better career performance in the future.

“As there will be this improvement in qualification, consequently there will be an increase in the supply of increasingly qualified professionals who will be able to serve the public by adopting more appropriate and more qualified health measures”, he comments.

According to the government of Pará, in the first year of operation (2021), “Qualifica Saúde” guaranteed a grant of BRL 1,500.00 to 690 residents, and BRL 3,000 to 247 preceptors. Residency programs already offered a grant with resources from the Ministry of Health, but only for residents.

The lawyer explains that by supporting and encouraging health professionals during qualification, it will result in the development of the state’s health system. “With more qualified professionals, it is obvious that the quality of services will also improve significantly and this will result in more efficient and safer care for the population”, she adds.
