Appointed to take over the Monetary Policy Directorate of the Central Bank (BC), Gabriel Galípolo was exonerated this Tuesday (20) from the role of executive secretary of the Ministry of Finance. On the 27th, Galípolo will be examined by the Senate Economic Affairs Committee (CAE). The commission will also listen to Ailton Aquino, a BC career official appointed to the institution’s Supervisory Board.

The Ministry of Finance informed that, in the beginning of the afternoon, the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, thanked Galípolo for his work and welcomed Durigan. The folder released a photo in which the two appear accompanied by Haddad and all the secretaries and special advisors in the folder.
