Dollar today: currency opens the week stable, quoted at R$ 4.77
According to Goldman Sachs, there is a reduction in the projection for the dollar from R$4.90 to R$4.60 over a period of 3 months. There is still room for appreciation of the Brazilian currency, with an improvement in the perception of country risk by investors and market assessment agencies.
The Euro follows a downward trend and started the day quoted at BRL 5.20 for buying and selling, according to data from the European Central Bank. The coin was down 0.48%.
The Ibovespa opens at a slight increase of 0.036% and is at the level of 118 thousand points, at 118,977 points. This is the 9th week in a row that the Ibovespa opens higher. This is the longest sequence since August 2016. However, the maintenance of the Selic rate at 13.75% by the Central Bank caused the Ibovespa to return to the level of 118 thousand points in the last week. Petrobras (PETR3; PETR4) and Vale (VALE3) opened down 4.32% and 1.26%, respectively, and held back the Ibovespa highs.
