According to the document, the executive secretariat of the Foreign Trade Chamber will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the program, in addition to preparing reports and disseminating results in its site institutional.
Based on the three pillars, the program provides guidelines for public policies aimed at foreign direct investment in Brazil (FDI) and Brazilian direct investment abroad. In terms of sustainability and responsibility, actions are planned to boost business towards energy transition and a low-carbon economy, for example, in addition to promoting ESG certification, which measures the environmental, social and governance performance of companies.
For investment facilitation, the work of the direct investment ombudsman (OID), who is the person responsible for supporting foreign investors, stands out, as well as agreements, mechanisms and funds that optimize sustainable business in the sector.
In pursuit of regulatory improvement, the plan provides for the review of the regulatory agenda of operational and infra-legal standards, as well as the monitoring of ratification processes, in the National Congress, of agreements related to the sector.
The plan also highlights the stimulus to the sectors of infrastructure, 5G technology and biorefineries.
