Dollar drops 0.35% and closes at R$5.15

The commercial dollar began Wednesday with a drop of 0.35% quoted at R$5.15. The euro, in turn, is quoted at R$5.61 — also falling compared to the last close.

According to experts, the fall of the dollar has to do with the rise in American personal consumption inflation. In the domestic market, the release of the Broad Consumer Price Index — the IPCA-15 — was somewhat lower than expected and showed a slowdown in national inflation.

The tourism dollar starts on Wednesday (29) at R$5.35.

The data is from the company Morningstar.
