Ibovespa ends with a slight drop of 0.04%
The Brazilian stock exchange index (Ibovespa) closed at 126,093 points. There was a slight drop of 0.04% and the result was pressured by the decline in Petrobras shares, driven by the reaction to the news that Lula intends to change the president of the Board of Directors of the state-owned company later this month.
The company has not yet commented, but the rumors have already had the power to turn Petrobras’ shares towards a negative scenario. The company’s common shares lost 0.96%, while preferred shares fell 0.63%.
There was also pressure on Ibovespa with the 1.95% drop in Vale shares.
The assessment is that Ibovespa ended the day practically stable.
