Civil construction has inflation of 0.40% in May this year, says FGV

The National Construction Cost Index – M (INCC-M) recorded inflation of 0.40% in May this year. The rate is higher than that observed in the previous month (0.23%), but lower than that found in May 2022 (1.49%). The data was released this Friday (26) by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV).


The INCC-M accumulates an inflation rate of 1.34% in the year. In 12 months, the accumulated rate reaches 6.32%, below the 11.20% accumulated in May last year.
In May of this year, materials, equipment and services registered an inflation of 0.06%, compared to a variation of 0.14% in April. Labor prices rose by 0.75% in May, compared to a rate of 0.23% in the previous month.
