“The combination of the slowdown in food prices, the sequence of declines in meat prices and the resources injected into the economy brought more consistency to household consumption in the four-month period. In June, the continuation of the redemption of PIS/Pasep resources, the payment of precatorios from the INSS, the maintenance of the federal government’s income transfer programs – Bolsa Família and Primeira Infância and the implementation of the Variable Benefit for children, adolescents and pregnant women and payment of Gas Aid tend to contribute to the composition of the food basket”, he said.
