Dollar closes at R$ 5.86, driven by uncertainty in Brazil’s fiscal conduct
The dollar closed the last trading session at R$5.87, according to the company Morningstar. This is the highest level since May 2020.
The result came after an increase of 1.53%. The price was influenced by uncertainties regarding tax conduct in Brazil.
Over the course of the week, the American currency appreciated by 2.9%. In 2024, the appreciation reached almost 21%.
The euro, in turn, closed the session at R$6.36.
