Dollar closes higher and reaches R$ 5.70
The dollar ended the last session up 0.11%, quoted at R$5.69. This is the highest level since August 5, 2024. The euro, in turn, closed at R$6.15.
The results were driven, among other factors, by doubts about the next interest rate decision in the United States.
Information released in recent weeks indicates that the American central bank should slow down the cuts at the next meeting, since, when the economy is more heated, there is a tendency for consumption to increase, which leads to higher prices.
