Dollar closes last session on a high, in response to the announcement of the government’s fiscal package
The dollar ended the last trading session with a slight increase of 0.19%, quoted at R$5.97. The euro, in turn, closed at R$6.33. The data is from the company Morningstar.
The result follows the depreciation of the Brazilian currency seen in recent days, after the presentation of the federal government’s fiscal adjustment plan.
Throughout the session, the dollar reached R$6.11, but fell after speeches by Senate President Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG); and from the Chamber, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), both about the wait to analyze the measure and in relation to possible changes to the proposal.
