Dollar closes last session quoted at R$ 5.46
The dollar ended the last session down 0.33%, quoted at R$5.46. The euro was quoted at $5.99. The result was driven by employment data in the United States, which was stronger than expected. There were 257 thousand new vacancies created in September.
The greater number of admissions raised expectations of milder interest rate cuts at the next meeting of the American Central Bank.
Despite this scenario, the expectation of lower interest rates in that country and continued rise in the Selic rate puts pressure on the American currency against the real.
