Dollar ends last session on the rise, quoted at R$ 5.69
The dollar closed the last session’s negotiations up 0.68%, quoted at R$5.69. Over the last week, the currency increased by 1.49%. The euro closed at R$6.19.
The value of the real was affected by the fall in iron ore, which ended the trading session with a decline of 1.55% on the Chinese stock exchange, and Brent oil – considered a global reference – which closed down 2.05%.
In the opinion of financial market experts, this reduction caused pressure on the national currency, since a large part of Brazil’s economy is based on the export of this type of commodity.
