Dollar registers fall, after four consecutive days of rise
After four consecutive days of increases, the dollar ended the last session falling. The reduction was 0.21%. As a result, the American currency was quoted at R$6.05.
The increases were a reflection of the market’s dissatisfaction with the spending cut package announced by the federal government last week.
The decline, in turn, may have been reflected by the inclusion, by the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira, of the urgent needs for two bills from the series of fiscal adjustment measures on the day’s agenda.
The euro ended the last trading session at R$6.36.
The data is from the Morningstar Company.
