Down 0.39%, the dollar is quoted at R$5.13
The commercial dollar exchange rate starts on Wednesday (15) at R$ 5.13. At the last close, the American currency devalued 0.39% against the real. The euro, in turn, ended the day at R$5.55 — maintaining stability in relation to the last closing.
One of the main reasons for the drop, according to experts, was the divergence between the directors of the Monetary Policy Committee (Copom) who define the basic interest rate. In the minutes of the last meeting, released yesterday, the vision of a more adverse and uncertain scenario was shared among all committee members, but some directors differed on the size of the cut.
The tourism dollar starts on Wednesday at R$5.31.
