FPM: city halls share R$ 1.4 billion in the second ten days of November; see values
Brazilian city halls receive R$ 1,435,776,519.41, on Wednesday, November 20th. The amount refers to the second November installment of the Municipal Participation Fund (FPM). The value represents a reduction of almost 10% compared to the same period last year, when the transfer was R$ 1,579,064,169.16.

According to public budget specialist, Cesar Lima, normally, the second tenth of each month comes with lower values. However, he states that, throughout the year, the municipalities count on a positive result, which should prevail until the end of 2024.

“This fact may now be due to people holding back a little for Christmas shopping, waiting for Black Friday. We will know when we have the results of the third decade, whether the economy has really resumed its growth”, he explains.

São Paulo remains the federation unit that receives the highest amount: R$ 176,921,666.38. Within the state, the highlight goes to cities such as Araçatuba (R$ 774,118.98), Araraquara (R$ 774,118.98) and Atibaia (R$ 774,118.98), among others, which received the highest amounts.

National Public Security Fund accumulates cash of R$2.9 billion, between 2019 and 2023

In Minas Gerais – another state that has a representative value (R$ 175,961,510.93) – the largest amounts will be allocated to municipalities such as Divinópolis (R$ 821,694.51), Governador Valadares (R$ 821,694.51) and Ipatinga (R$ 821,694.51).

To unblock the transfer, the public manager must identify the body that ordered the freeze. Then, you must find out the reason and rectify the situation. It is worth remembering that the city hall does not lose blocked resources permanently. They are simply frozen until the pending issues are resolved.
