Frozen and chilled chicken achieve stable prices
At the last closing, the prices of frozen and chilled chicken remained stable in Greater São Paulo, São José do Rio Preto and Descalvado. The kilo of frozen chicken is traded at R$7.15 and the kilo of chilled chicken at R$7.37.
According to experts from Cepea/USP, chicken meat has suffered the least price increases in the country, unlike beef and pork. At the last closing price, also in São Paulo, the price of beef cattle rose 0.45%, quoted at R$239.00.
For live pigs, prices are stable in Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Minas Gerais, at R$8.05, R$8.35 and R$8.97/kilo. For special pork carcasses, there was a 0.40% increase in Greater São Paulo, where the kilo costs R$13.20.
