Gasoline and anhydrous alcohol have a single rate of R$ 1.22 on June 1
According to the president of the National Committee of Finance Secretaries of the States and the Federal District (Consefaz), Carlos Eduardo Xavier, the new value is in accordance with the unification of ICMS on fuels to thethat is, national and specific, charged only once.
Xavier said that the basic premise for defining the rate was to look more at the federated units so that they do not have more losses. “We made a calculation based on an average of what we have today of modal rates in the country and we arrived at this value, which is a value that gives comfort to the 27 federated units”, said Xavier. He explained that, with this value, the federative units will no longer have losses in collection, in a context of losses since last year.
There is still no estimate of the impact of this on the pumps, for the consumer. It’s just that, as each state currently has its ICMS, it will be up to them to calculate their losses, explained Xavier.
For diesel, biodiesel and LPG (cooking gas), the rate that had already been announced was maintained, but the entry into force was postponed by 30 days, changing from April 1st to May 1st.
