GDP preview rises 0.56% in April
The preview of the Gross Domestic Product, the GDP, rose 0.56% in April, according to data released by the Central Bank this Friday (16).
The Central Bank’s Economic Activity Index (IBC-BR), which measures economic activity, surpassed expectations for an increase of 0.20%. The index is considered the preview of the GDP. In the quarter, the indicator was 3.47%.
In March, the index had retreated. In relation to a year ago, an increase of 4.46% was recorded.
