Ibovespa closes down 0.3% and starts Tuesday at 127.7 points
The Ibovespa (Brazilian stock exchange index) fell 0.3% and closed Monday (20) at 127.7 thousand points. The Brazilian fiscal imbalance, according to experts, influenced the fall. The review of fiscal targets made by the economic team this month may also have an influence on the closing of the beginning of the week.
Economists are still evaluating the disagreement of some Copom members regarding the interest rate, the Selic, last week. And also the tragedy in Rio Grande do Sul, whose impact on GDP will be assessed and should have an impact on agricultural inflation.
The main increases were recorded by Isa Cteep (TRPL4), MRV (MRV3) and Marfrig (MRFG3) at 5.19%, 3.57% and 3.56% respectively. IRB (IRBR3), Eletrobras ON (ELET3) and TIM (TIMS3) had the biggest declines at -6.81%, -3.53% and -2.89% respectively.
