Ibovespa falls and closes below 127 thousand points
The main Brazilian stock market index (Ibovespa) fell 1% and closed the last trading session below 127 thousand points, at 126,922.11 points. The level was the lowest recorded in three months, since August, when the index reached just over 126.2 thousand.
The market continues to wait for the announcement of the federal government’s spending cut package and the uncertainty affected the index. Another negative impact was caused by the escalation of the international conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Petrobras started the day in decline, but recovered in the afternoon. However, it rose only 0.17% in common shares (ON) and 0.29% in preferred shares (PN),
The day was not favorable for Lojas Renner (LREN3) shares, which fell 5.31%.
On the other hand, exporter Embraer advanced 3.32% and Klabin (KLBN11) rose 1.26%.
