Ibovespa: index closes down 0.38%
After opening the day on a high, the Brazilian Stock Exchange Index, Ibovespa, closed this Tuesday (8) down 0.38%, at 131,512 points.
The drop occurred on the day that the Senate approved the nomination of economist Gabriel Galípolo for the presidency of the Central Bank and was impacted by the lack of new economic stimulus in China.
The news from the Asian giant affected the shares of large companies linked to commodities, such as Vale (down 3.03%) and Petrobras, pressured by the devaluation of iron ore and oil.
The financial volume traded in the session was R$15 billion on Ibovespa and R$19.9 billion on B3.
