Ibovespa: Wednesday (9) has the worst result since August
Wednesday (9) saw a sharp drop of 1.00% in the Ibovespa, at 129 thousand points — the worst result since August 8 — and the second consecutive drop. According to experts, September’s IPCA, which measures inflation, influenced the negative result.
Due to these results, an increase in the Selic interest rate of 0.50% is already projected at the next meeting, scheduled for November.
The decline in commodities and bank shares weighed on the result. Petrobras fell 1.01%, Vale 0.26% and BB 2.04%. A significant increase was with Usiminas, which closed the day with an increase of 4.49%.
