Income Tax: Income paid this Friday second batch of refunds
This Friday (30) the Federal Revenue credits the refunds of the second batch of 2023 to about five million taxpayers who delivered the Individual Income Tax Declaration. The batch also includes residual refunds from previous years.

Payment will be made to the account or Pix key of the CPF type – Cadastro de Pessoa Fisicas – informed in the income tax return. If the taxpayer is not on the list, he/she must enter the Virtual Taxpayer Service Center (e-CAC) and extract the statement. If there is a pending issue, you can send a rectifying statement and wait for the next batches of fine mesh.

In all, 5,138,476 taxpayers will receive R$7.5 billion. The entire amount, informed the Federal Revenue, will go to taxpayers with priority in reimbursement.

Most – 3,490,513 taxpayers – informed the Pix key of the Individual Registration type in the Income Tax declaration or used the pre-filled declaration. New in the declaration from this year, the Pix key information gives priority to receipt.

The other taxpayers have legal priority, with 130,088 seniors over 80 years old; 978,397 between 60 and 79 years old; 70,589 taxpayers with a physical or mental disability or serious illness and 468,889 taxpayers whose main source of income is teaching.

Consultation

The query can be made on the Federal Revenue website on the internet. The taxpayer simply clicks on My Income Tax and then on the Consult the Refund button. It is also possible to consult the Federal Revenue application for tablets e smartphones.

If, for some reason, the refund is not deposited in the account informed in the statement, as in the case of a deactivated account, the amounts will be available for redemption for up to one year at Banco do Brasil. In this case, the citizen will be able to schedule the credit in any bank account in his name, through the BB Portal or by calling the bank’s Relationship Center, on telephones 4004-0001 (capital cities), 0800-729-0001 (other locations) and 0800-729-0088 (special telephone number exclusively for the hearing impaired).

If the taxpayer does not redeem the amount of his refund after one year, he must request the amount on the e-CAC Portal. When entering the page, the citizen must – accessing the Declarations and Statements menu – click on My Income Tax and then on the Request refund not redeemed in the banking network field.
