In the year, there is an accumulated increase of 3.09% and, in 12 months, of 3.19%.
In addition to residential electricity, the drop in the prices of gas cylinders (-2.10%) also influenced the retraction of the housing group (-0.94%), one of those that most impacted the general index. Already the sewage water rate (0.20%) is among the items that rose.
“Among the groups analyzed by the survey, the other major influence on the general index came from Food and beverages (-0.40%), whose result is related to the deflation of food at home (-0.72%). Among the foodstuffs with falling prices, the highlights are carioca beans (-10.20%), soy oil (-6.14%), long-life milk (-2.50%) and meats (-2.42%). On the other hand, potatoes (10.25%) and garlic (3.74%) became more expensive this month”, says the IBGE.
With the most intense increase in snacks (0.34% in June to 1.02% in July), eating away from home (0.46%) accelerated in relation to the previous month (0.29%). Meals (0.17%) slowed down in the same comparison (0.28%).
Among the hikes, the highlight was the Transport group (0.63%). The advance is explained by the increase in gasoline prices (2.99%), which had the greatest positive impact (0.14 pp) among the surveyed sub-items. Vehicle gas also rose (0.06%), while diesel oil (-3.48%) and ethanol (-0.70%) had deflation. With these results, fuels increased by 2.28% in July.
Also in Transport, there was an increase of 4.70% in the prices of airline tickets, which had already risen 10.70% in June. On the side of falls, the highlights are new cars (-2.34%) and used cars (-1.05%), in addition to urban buses (-0.72%).
