MP that gives discount to popular cars is published

The federal government published this Tuesday (6) the provisional measure that creates discount ranges for popular vehicles according to criteria of economic and environmental sustainability and nationality. The discounts for popular cars ranging from R$ 2 thousand to R$ 8 thousand. The decree is published in Official Diary of the Union.

For buses and trucks, discounts range from R$33,600 to R$99,400, and are associated with the delivery of vehicles of the same category, used and in roadworthy conditions. It is also required that the documentation of the vehicle delivered is regularized, with a 2022 license and registration

The provisional measure is valid for four months and during this period, the discount will be recorded on the invoice and will not affect the calculation of the Tax on Industrialized Products (IPI) on the car.
