New PAC will include public and private investments, says Tebet
“Brazil does not have public investments because it does not control its finances, which we are doing now. But public investment is insufficient. Brazil does not have the money to solve all its problems on its own, not least because, we came from a pandemic, Brazil left impoverished, we went back to the hunger map.”
In an interview with radio stations during the program Good morning, Minister, Tebet cited a very large “non-action” liability that the current government encountered at the beginning of its mandate. According to her, the new PAC will work as a package of investment projects to make the country grow again.
“We will practically have three front lines: public investment, based on the budget value, which is what the Brazilian people pay; private investments, through concessions, highways, ports, airports, railways, overturning, navigation. And also public-private partnerships, which we call PPP.”
“We are waiting for the framework to be approved to see how much fiscal space we will have – R$ 30 billion more, R$ 30 billion less – to talk about the value of this big package”, concluded the minister.
