Revenue opens consultation on IRPF refund residual batch today
The Federal Revenue opens this Friday (24), from 10 am, the consultation of the residual lot of refund of the Individual Income Tax (IRPF) of March. 94,864 taxpayers who fell into the fine mesh and settled accounts with the Treasury will be covered. They will receive a total of R$ 300 million.

Of this total, R$ 196,597,983.60 refer to the number of taxpayers who have legal priority, of which 3,490 are elderly over 80 years old, 20,181 between 60 and 79 years old, 3,261 with some physical or mental disability or serious illness and 6,161 whose major source of income is teaching. A further 61,771 non-priority taxpayers were included.

Payment will be made on March 31, to the account informed on the Income Tax return. The query can be made at Revenue page on the internet. Just click on “My Income Tax” and then on the button “Check the Refund”. It is also possible to consult the Federal Revenue application for tablets e smartphones.

If the taxpayer is not on the list, he/she must enter the Virtual Taxpayer Service Center (e-CAC) and obtain the extract. If there is a pendency, you can send a rectifying statement and wait for the next batches of fine mesh.

redemption period

If, for some reason, the refund is not deposited in the account informed in the statement, as in the case of a deactivated account, the amounts will be available for redemption for up to one year at Banco do Brasil. In this case, the citizen can schedule the credit in any bank account in his name, through the BB Portal, or by calling the bank’s Relationship Center, on telephones 4004-0001 (capital cities), 0800-729-0001 (other locations ) and 0800-729-0088 (special telephone number exclusively for the hearing impaired).

If the taxpayer does not redeem the refund after one year, the person must request the amount on the e-CAC Portal. Upon entering the page, he must access the “Declarations and Demonstrations” menu, click on “My Income Tax” and then in the field “Request unredeemed refund in the banking network”.
