Rio Grande do Sul has almost 2 million active companies
Rio Grande do Sul has 1,705,107 active companies. Of the total, 948,850 are from the service sector, 500,681 from commerce and, finally, 178,195 are from the industry area, according to data from the Commercial, Industrial and Services Board of Rio Grande do Sul (JucisRS).

JucisRS had a positive performance due to improvements in incentive mechanisms, such as the implementation of Tudo Fácil Empresas (TFE). TFE allows you to open low-risk activities for free in up to ten minutes.

In addition, there was a modernization of the system, which resulted in an increase from 24 to 770 low-risk activities in the State. This achievement was possible through the joint work between the Board of Trade, Descomplica RS, Sebrae-RS, Sanitary Surveillance, Military Fire Department, Fepam and Sefaz.

For accounting specialist Wilson Pimentel, reducing the average time to open a company is more than necessary, since all sides are satisfied.
“The importance of reducing the average time to open a company in Brazil ranges from reducing bureaucracy to satisfying the entrepreneur who wants to start his business as soon as possible. The quick opening of companies with as little bureaucracy as possible benefits the accountant, who becomes more efficient and satisfies the entrepreneur who wants a service as soon as possible, ”he said.

Currently, 140 municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul have joined the TFE implementation process. So far, 26 units have been inaugurated and another four have an official launch date scheduled. The objective is to continue working on improving the business environment for entrepreneurs, by reducing bureaucracy in the public sector.

The municipalities that already have TFE units inaugurated are Bagé, Caxias do Sul, Erechim, Esteio, Estrela, Farroupilha, Frederico Westphalen, Gravataí, Guaíba, Novo Hamburgo, Montenegro, Palmeira das Missões, Panambi, Porto Alegre, Rio Grande, Rio Pardo , Santa Cruz do Sul, São Borja, São Leopoldo, Sapiranga, Sapucaia do Sul, Santiago, Santo Antônio da Patrulha, Tapejara, Uruguaiana and Venâncio Aires.
