Sebrae project will encourage income generation in the Northeast
The Brazilian Support Service for Micro and Small Companies (Sebrae) starts this Sunday (21) the Pelo Brasil project to encourage income generation in the Northeast.

Activities begin in Rio Grande do Norte. In addition to meetings with authorities, the Sebrae team will visit development projects managed by micro-entrepreneurs.

According to the president of Sebrae, Décio Lima, last year 22 thousand jobs were created in the state and 42 thousand companies were opened.

“We are going to speak with governors, mayors, leaders, with the community, associations. We need to take this desire for change to the streets and transform Pelo Brasil into a great movement. Micro and small companies are the great generators of jobs in the country”, said Decio Lima.

On Tuesday (23), in Paraíba, Sebrae launches Cidados, an artificial intelligence tool that uses data on the characteristics of each municipality to generate new business proposals.

According to a monthly survey carried out by Sebrae, micro and small companies are responsible for the majority of formal jobs generated in the country. According to the most recent survey, based on figures from Caged, the sector was responsible for creating 85.5% of jobs in April.
