Vehicle sales exceed by 7.37% the volume of the 1st half of 2022

The total number of cars licensed in the first half of this year was 733,442 units, 7.37% more than the volume registered in the first half of 2022. , last year’s accumulated accounted for 683,129 units of this type of vehicle.

As for this vehicle category, from May to June this year, there was an increase of 11.41%, from 127,478 to 142,017 registrations. When comparing the result of June this year with that of 2022, there is also a growth of 6.33%.

In the entity’s survey, two significant drops stand out, when comparing data from June 2022 and June 2023. The largest of them, 28.86%, concerns truck registrations. The second, 21.84%, refers to the segments of trucks and buses.

In the opposite direction are light commercial vehicles and motorcycles. Making the same comparison, between June last year and this year, there was a positive variation of 18.19% and 16.09%, respectively.

For the entity’s president, Andreta Júnior, the federal government’s incentive made the car segment “heartbeat again”, but it is necessary to think about measures more broadly, so that the sector’s good performance is sustained. He also said that Fenabrave will present a proposal to the government in that sense, soon.
