Why haven’t they voted on the general reforms until now?
Why haven’t they voted on the general reforms in a “succinct” way so far? Purely “political, partisan and personal”. After all, no one wants to mess with this hornet’s nest.

Fiscal and tax reforms: would cover several problems we are facing, simplifying the tax system in a fairer and less unequal way, to stimulate productivity and investment, increasing jobs and income.

The tax burden in Brazil represents 33.1% of the GDP, lower only than that of Cuba (42%). A simplification of this tax burden would greatly help reduce inflation. Finally, it would bring more security and peace of mind to the entire population, investors and entrepreneurs.

Why haven’t they been done until now?

Purely for political accommodation and the rejection of some business and labor classes, leaving hostages of a chaotic scheme, with expensive taxes and almost zero return for the population.

legal reforms

Many things can change with this reform, after all, they are old, outdated and unequal laws, changes in the criteria for judging different processes, leaving insecurities with regard to investments, and other things.

Why haven’t they been done until now?

Judges and prosecutors reject changes in their careers, deputies complain about the benefits of magistrates in the Judiciary, such as 60-day vacations and trinkets, in addition to defending their inclusion in the administrative reform.

Federal deputies and senators in office add up, respectively, to 644 and 147 lawsuits and inquiries in court. They are actions of administrative impropriety, criminal actions on various crimes, such as corruption, conspiracy, embezzlement and inquiries related to these topics….

political reforms

A very controversial topic, as it involves changes that can affect the entire electoral system. Since the enactment of the 1988 Constitution, we have not had broad political reform. Our electoral code dates from 1965 and the electoral law from 1997, even so, significant changes have been taking place gradually, such as the “Clean Record” Law of 2010, which seems to be not being respected at the moment…

Currently, Brazil has 77 political parties in the process of being formed and 33 ready to run candidates to contest future elections.

Imagine a disputed key (like in tennis), where the 33 parties are in condition to place a representative in the presidential, state and municipal elections. But by sheer pressure and choice from the major parties, they end up supporting other candidates.

Why haven’t they been done until now?

The mamata is big, electoral funds, facilities and endless resources, full retirement, lifelong health plans extended to the whole family. That is, privileges and more privileges…

This summary of some guidelines on general reforms makes us believe that they are necessary and urgent for everyone. It would simplify the life of the population in general, but in order to have them, we have to have massive support from businessmen, the population and those interested in making Brazil a worthy country.
